H2ONLY: The Sabbs · 6 January 2016

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is a charity set up in 1990 by people sick of seeing the ocean they love polluted. We campaign to protect the ocean and all it makes possible, by taking action on the ground that triggers change from the top. We're calling for an end to sewage and plastic pollution.

Story

Everyone has heard of "Dry January" an alcohol-free month that students use to raise money for charity, but this year Royal Holloway is taking Dry January to the next level with H2ONLY. Your Sabbs, Brianna, Alex, Nayab & Jack will be drinking only WATER for the whole month of January and raising money for Surfers Against Sewage alongside Royal Holloway Surf Club.

Surfers Against Sewage is an environmental charity protecting the UK's oceans, waves and beaches for all to enjoy safely and for a sustainable future. As well as working on the UK shoreline, this charity advances the education of the public in the conservation and protection of the marine environment.

Want to take part? There are only 3 rules

1. Only drink water

2. Buy a refillable bottle to raise awareness of the effect that plastic bottles have on the environment.

3. If you give in to temptation and buy a coffee from Cafe Jules or a Diet Coke from the Union Shop, you must donate £2 to the cause.
