I discovered the 'Haiti Hospital Appeal', a charity that has up until now been dedicated to improving the quality of medical care available to the people of Haiti. In light of the recent earthquake, the HHA sent out a desperate plea for funds to help the thousands of injured citizens who are in desperate need of medical attention...
"The HAITI Hospital Appeal is actively seeking to assist victims and their families in relation to the recent earthquake. We aim to help with the immediate despatch of a small team in order to aid the relief effort in Port Au Prince. We expect a huge influx of refugees in the North of HAITI where we are based. We will provide medical assistance and aid as much as we are capable. We need to continue to strive to complete the hospital so we are better placed to serve the people of HAITI long term". If like me you saw the news and wished there was something you could do to help donate a £2 today, or however much you can afford and know that you have helped to save a life of someone in desperate need.
