Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was told about this site from a good friend who knew I was doing fundraisers for my dad to raise money for his cancer med's. As most of us know oral cancer medication is NOT cheap, ranging from $1000-$10,000 a month for 30 pills!  I been up & down the road with the drug supplier, congress, insurance companies & Medicare Part B & D!! Its just sad how they can be so heartless! There always seems 2 be a loop hole in the system 2 screw people over! I pay $2513 a month for a 30 day supply of 100mg oral tablets. Well since they are working better then the doctors thought possible, they want 2 increase it to 150mg which is $3262 for 30 tab's. Now if the pills were between $265-$2400 they would cover 75% of the cost, if the pills exceed $5452 then they will cover 95%, but if the medication is between $2401-$5451, they cover NOTHING, not with part D or part B, which is BS!! How do people get away with this? I work my butt off 2 pay my own bills & have 2 make an extra $3200 now which I honestly have NO idea how this is gonna happen. It was hard enough trying 2 make $2000. I will continue 2 push 2 see if there is a way around having 2 come up with the full amount, but in the mean time I will have 2 pay it out of my own pocket but I don't know how as I maxed out all my credit cards for hus med;s.. I will keep u posted. PLEASE support a worthy cause. Thank u 2 those who have and will. Much love. xox
