The distance is 44 miles (71k) which we plan to run over two days, September 24th &amp; 25th 2011 raising money for two cancer charities (see also </span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span><a href="http://www.justgiving.com/HHHHCR">www.justgiving.com/HHHHCR</a> )</span></span></span></span></span></span></div> <div> <div><span>This madcap venture was conceived after one of our long standing members, (and general all round good egg) Ironman was diagnosed with cancer from which, mercifully, he is making a recovery.</span></div> <div>This is our way to help make a difference to those unfortunate enough to be affected, directly or indirectly, by cancer and, at the same time, enjoy a bit of light excercise, fresh air and possibly the odd half-pint at one of the eight pubs <em>en route - </em>and celebrate the fact that we are able to do it.</div> <div>So please dig deep and donate now - every penny counts.</div> </div>
