The Hampshire Microlight Flying Club's chosen charity for 2010 is the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

The Helicopter is based at Thruxton Airfield near Andover.  Every day the Air Ambulance crew provide an efficient, rapid response to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses, and many other incidents throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The Helicopter is called out on average 3 - 5 times per day, and many of these missions are life saving.  This life saving service is paid for soley from voluntary donations and receives no help from government.  All donations are gratefuly received in helping to support the cost of providing such an essential service.
