Story
The Kingshill House Project:
Kingshill House will be the third supported house of the Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT). The SCT work to offer support, rehabilitation and training services to people facing problems of homelessness, addiction and social isolation.
In recognition of 45 years of hard work in this field the SCT have been invited to work in partnership with a Housing Association called PCHA, to run a house in Harrow. Once the house has been renovated it would provide accommodation to men who have successfully completed a primary treatment programme at the Acorn House high-support hostel, and are keen to make a fresh start in a new location outside of the boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Hackney. Each resident will continue to participate in a recovery plan during their 1-2 year stay at Kingshill, but with greater independence, and receiving support in accessing employment and training opportunities.

With £300 we can buy a kitchen table with chairs
With £200 we can buy crockery and cutlery
With £200 we can buy a cooker hood
As well as financial contributions we will also be hosting a special selling day at the SCT Charity Shop in Roman Road on 13th July with funds raised helping to contribute to our target.
How you can help:
1) Make a financial contribution to our target through JustGiving
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
2) Donate items that we can sell at our selling day in the SCT Charity Shop in Roman Road or use as raffle prizes
If you have any unwanted items in good condition we would love to hear from you! For our selling day we are particularly interested in women’s dresses, men’s ties and items for children (e.g toys and clothes).
Please contact us if you would like to drop off a donation:
3) Support us by attending our fundraising events and coming along to our selling day
The selling day will take place in the SCT Charity Shop at Roman Road, Bow on 13th July, 10am – 5pm.
