HYMS@TEN · 12 January 2014 ·

Renowned as one of the most innovative and inclusive UK medical schools, we train doctors to the highest standards and aim to address major health challenges to benefit society and our local communities. To celebrate this our 10th year we aim to raise £10k for local hospices and student bursaries.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page for HIKE@HYMS.

Over the weekend of 27 - 29 September, as part of the celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the Hull York Medical School, we plan to hike between the HYMS Universities of Hull and York, covering 60+ miles in the process. Starting in Hull we will head to Beverley for our first overnight stay, then take on two big days of walking (covering the approximate distance of the Yorkshire Three Peaks... on each day!. Overnighting in Pocklington before our finish in at our HYMS building in York on the Sunday evening.

The HIKE@HYMS team is made up of students and staff of the medical school, together with colleagues from our partner organisations, the University of Hull, the University of York and the NHS.

The hike will raise funds to support the chosen HYMS@TEN good causes: local hospices and student bursaries and scholarships.
