Smartypants is a charity which helps some of the world's smartest cancer researchers to look for new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Cancer research is making progress, yet with so many lives being devastated by cancer more research is needed. 

For some time I have wanted to help make a positive difference in the lives of others, yet this year I decided that I will actively do something to achieve that rather than just thinking about it. So, I will be abseling down the Avon Gorge in order to raise money for Smartypants. This experience will be challenging for me but also very rewarding too as I know that I am doing it for a very good cause!
