My story

Apimondia (The World Federation of Beekeepers Associations) is working with Bees for Development Trust and ACBO (The Association of Caribbean Beekeepers Organisations), to raise funds to support beekeepers in Haiti to rebuild their lives after the devastating earthquake of January 2010.

The pictures of beekeeping in Haiti are kindly provided by Bo Sterk of Florida, who is assisting us with this appeal.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  Your details are safe with JustGiving – they will never sell them on or send unwanted emails.  Once you donate, they will send your money directly to the charity.  Your credit card will be charged in your own currency (1 £UK is currently just a little more than 1$US or 1Euro).  Gift Aid will be reclaimed on eligible donations by UK taxpayers.  It is an efficient way to donate. Bees for Development Trust ensures beekeepers working in poor countries have access to the information and advice they need. For example, how to market honey, manage indigenous bees sustainably, or plant trees that are useful for bees.
