As some of you may know one of our regular posters Quickie, has a daughter whose name is Poppy, with an extremely rare, and sadly terminal illness.
The disease is Late Infantile Neuronal Ceroid Liopfuscinoses, about which very little is known. The disease leads to a gradual shutdown of the body, normally starting with visual problems.
Thanks to an initial post from Stratford Iron, a number of us have decided, we would like to do something to raise funds for the Batten Disease charity.
This is at the request of the family, as sadly, Poppy is unable to travel. Therefore the initial idea of a trip to Disney, is not a viable option.
All donations would be gratefully received, and lets show that the support of West Ham United, is up there with the best, especially in our pride of looking after our own.
