Football Fundraising Challenge · 16 December 2018
At 16, I started learning about Islam from Muslim friends in the area and over the coming year, I became Muslim. From my concern and conviction, I shared this beautiful message with my family and over the years my mother, brother, sister and friends have also come to Islam, Alhamdulillah.
In December 2014, I was given the opportunity to work for Discover Islam and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Being a revert myself I understand the difficulties new Muslims face when coming to Islam and the social support they need. Over the last 4 years, I have seen many hearts and minds incline towards Islam and as a charity, we have been able to help thousands of people in need through our weekly Curry Kitchen and partnership with Luton Foodbank. The centre is open 6 days a week and we offer a range of free services to help everyone understand Islam better. Our volunteers are delivering assemblies and workshops at schools and local organisations every week.
The centre offers a unique public information service in the heart of Luton town centre. Through this charity, we all have an opportunity to continue the work of the Noble Messengers in reminding others about our Creator, Allah(SWT), and taking care of others in this life and the Hereafter inshaAllah.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
