Story
These INCREDIBLE guys and girls have committed to 10 weeks of intense, Ricky Hatton/David Haye/Floyd Mayweather style boxing training under the care of professional boxers-turned-coaches from Fitzroy Lodge Amateur boxing club where, incidentally, David Haye started off his boxing career. They are LITERALLY putting their bodies on the line in the fight to keep one of Stand up for Africa (SUFA) 's projects, the Maison de l'Enfance (house of childhood) centre in Benin, open.
SUFA supports children who are at serious risk of trafficking, who have been orphaned and are living on the streets, or whose families can’t afford to support them and therefore arrange early marriages for them or send them out to work, sometimes in the sex industry just to bring enough money to support the family. Working with their local partner ESAM, Enfants Solidaires d'Afriques et du Monde (solidarity for children of Africa and of the world), the centre gives each child a safe home, health care, food, clothing and an education. The evening will feature a drinks reception, a 3 course meal, a silent auction of fantastic memorabilia including rare boxing collectables & other awesome prizes. Guests will also be entertained by African performers, but the undisputed highlight of the evening will be the bouts of boxing that the remarkably brave and selfless volunteer participants will put on.There will be a number of boxing & other sports personalities in attendance and it’ll be a brilliant spectacle with all the bells and whistles including vegas style fighter entry (smoke-filled entry way, theme music & REAL boxing commentary!) Please show these fantastic people your support by sponsoring them here or buying tickets at www.ticketshack.co.uk
They deserve it for this wonderful thing they are doing. Without them, there would be no show....
