A new life is the best gift anyone could ever give, but 1 in 9 babies are born too soon or too ill and need specialist care just to survive.

In August, I'll be following the 2012 Olympic route and riding 100 miles for a fantastic cause. 

Bliss is a charity dedicated to helping these babies, and the care they provided for children and their families is vital. 

1 in 9 is a shocking statistic, and one that I happen to fall into. Without the support of these charities, it's scary to think of who in our lives wouldn't be with us today. 

It's going to be a hard task to do 100 miles in under 8 hours, and although the training will hurt (a lot), there is no doubt in my mind that this cause is 100% worth it.
