Jail Break · 30 June 2012

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

As part of the "Love Your Local Market fortnight", Hanley Market is raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support with a variety of fun activities.

Teams of "prisoners" are being put together now by Charlotte from Hanley market to take part in the markets first "Jailbreak" on 30 June 2012.

The handcuffed teams will be driven in a van without windows to a unknown destination. Their aim will be to make a break for it and get back to Hanley market as fast as they can. They have to be resourceful as prisoners have no money and can't phone anyone for help.

On Thursday 5 July a team is pushing a bed from Hanley market to the new cancer centre at the City General (approx 4.5 miles). There will be collections on route but it would be great if you could sponsor us on here.
