Bless. is a UK registered charity founded by Gerard and Chrissie Kelly. Their vision is to see young people more widely exposed to the missional needs of mainland Europe, and to use short term missional experience as a dynamic tool in discipleship and personal growth. Participants are encouraged to bring blessing to the communities they visit but also to ask God, through their visit to change them, so that they also bring blessing back with them.
Last year, I did a 'Go to Bless' mission to Slavonski Brod in Croatia and as a team we put on sports camps which local kids came along to and we taught them four different sports, and then shared our testimonies with them and prayed with them. They loved it. And so did we. Then we would go and have personal bible study where we wrestled with what the bible has to say to us. After this we would go to the river and have a time of worship. In the evening we hung out with the kids in the town and played football with them, and bought them icecream. The second week was the same but we did kids club in the morning instead of sports camp and we sang songs with them and painted faces and played fun games and would also share our testimonies with them and tell them what Jesus has done in our lives.
I've just finished my degree in Fashion Design and so I haven't had time to raise the funds to go, and also my final collection has rinsed my personal financial situation. So basically, I have three weeks to raise £600 to go back to Croatia and do the same as I did last year.
I am doing a 26 mile walk on the 18th of June, and if I could get 120 people to sponsor me £5 that would be awesommeee. Because then I will be able to go to Croatia, if I don't die on the walk. :D
