With a new blood cancer diagnosis every 27 seconds worldwide, Cure Leukaemia funds research nurses at UK blood cancer centres, giving patients access to treatments through clinical trials. This support drives global significant advancements in blood cancer, impacting those affected by the disease.

Story

Thankyou everyone who’s taken a minute to have a look at my page.

As most of my friends and family know a dear colleague and friend of mine Dr Shafeek has recently been diagnosed with myeloma - a type of cancer.

After dedicating all of his life in to researching haematology and saving many many lives as a Haematology Consultant - he has sadly been diagnosed with this awful illness too.

Along with many colleagues from Worcester Hospital I have decided to complete an 8 mile walk across the Malvern Hills to raise money for Cure Leukaemia - a charity Dr Shafeek works very proudly with.

My colleagues and I were all very sadden by the news so it only feels right to be doing this for him and the Cure Leukaemia charity.

Any donations will be gratefully received.

Thankyou to everyone in advance!

Cure Leukaemia helps blood cancer patients to access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Without these nurses, to ensure patients are monitored and cared for, clinical trials of these new treatments would not run and patients, that have exhausted standard treatment options, would miss out on potentially lifesaving therapies. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and also hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer.
