Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

All monies received will go into a separate fund, The ME Trust Fund, within the Dorothy Kerin Trust. The Fund will provide free care to CFS/ME patients, of all faiths or none, in a designated private room at Burrswood Hospital.

I was privileged in December 2009 to interview the Clinical Vice President of the Royal College of Physicians, Dr Mike Cheshire. He was very candid and told me ‘ME does tend to fall through the net’.
I know from my own experience that it is not just a case that doctors are not taught about the illness in medical schools, which they are not, or that some doctors have been influenced by the unhelpful reporting of the illness in the media; but that people fall through the care ‘net’ like I did. When that happens we need a ‘good Samaritan’ and that is what I was blessed to find at Burrswood.

Hospital care for people with CFS/ME is virtually non existent so I am thrilled that Burrswood have kindly provided this wonderful opportunity to change the lives of so many people.

Your compassionate giving will enable other CFS/ME patients to benefit from the wonderful love and care I was blessed to receive at Burrswood. My nickname when I was a patient at the hospital was 'Horizontal Hannah!' - not any more!  It would be a dream come true for me to see others recovering as I did.

I would welcome your prayers for this project, and for patients who will benefit thanks to your kindness and generosity.

with love
Hannah
