MND has affected my life since I was a teenager, with my Dad's diagnosis and care for him through the following years. My Nan also being diagnosed with this disease last year has meant the MNDA charity has always been a charity close to my heart. This was also the case at my Dad's employer of 30 years: Investec Bank. This started the current campaign to help 'crack the code' for MND. Six people are diagnosed in the UK everyday and over half will die within two years. There is currently no cure. We hope to change this to give hope to people diagnosed and provide support to the families affected.

So why am I going silent? MND can take many things from people. It took my Dad's ability to be mobile, play sport and walk the dogs as he once loved doing. It has taken my Nan's voice requiring her to communicate in other ways. With this horrible disease taking so much from so many strong individuals I hope to give back to their charity with your help. 

For 65 hours I will only communicate using my trusty whiteboard just like my badass Nan does every day of her life now.
