Epilepsy Action is creating a world without limits for everyone affected by epilepsy, connecting people with others, and providing support and information you can trust. We’re calling out the misunderstanding, prejudice and barriers that stop people with epilepsy living their best life.

Tomorrows the big day! Myself and Paul are completing this 9 mile walk together as epilepsy has taken a impact on both of out lives with us both suffering from the condition. Epilepsy Action has really helped us both in the past and still do. For example, because i have got epilepsy alot of insurance companies DONT  want to or make it very expensive to give me insurance but epilepsy action know companies who are not like that. Also having epilepsy means not a lot of independance if you are not controlled which i am not, for safety reasons. Eopilepsy action have changed that! Now i have got medic alert which is a bracelet telling people who might see me having a fit who i am, what condition i have and who to contact. For just those two examples i think they are fantastic! They have ways of helping each individual as everyones epilepsy is different! They support and help us so now its our turn to help them! We are great believers in fundraising for epilepsy action as we know funding / donations could make a real difference in the care and treatment for suffers.

You may have heard about us doing this fundraising event via so many different sources. Word of mouth, email, read it in the paper or even on the radio!!!! We would greatly appreciate any donation no matter how big or how small from anyone .... family and friends but feel especially honoured if you have read in the paper about us or you heard myself on the radio and because of that you chose to support us! All donations add up and make a big difference in the end!

Recently, some people might already know this but we have put articles in certain papers (Rochdale Observer) expressing how much helping and supporting this charity / cause means to us. Training wise, We are already fit and healthy people but we still do our bit of training each week. Myself, I do quite a lot of training and runs. I believe that 1 run / walk is training for the next!Paul is just starting taking up this hobby along side me. We are fundraising via this justgiving site and on sponsor forms as well to cover all areas and to get as many different people to sponsor us.

The weather says its supposed to rain tomorrow and be cold. I dont  know what paul thinks about this ... it would put quite a lot of people off. However, it doesnt me! I believe rain or shine people will still suffer from epilepsy and have fits so rain or shine, I should still do the run / walk!

Myself and Paul would like to finish by saying thank you in advance, we will keep you updated on our progress on fundraising, training and the time we do it in. We are hoping because its a walk to do it within 5 hours! Feel free to leave comments. We wont let you or epilepsy action down!

Thankyou
