Story

There is currently no cure for Amyloidosis but there is treatment. A disease worthy of a Greek Odyssey that turns organs to stone.

My dad was diagnosed in October 2013. Thanks to his treatment plan from the NAC he has heroically survived Chemotherapy, a heart transplant and will go on to have stem cell transplant.

There is an easier way to beat this disease and a new drug is undergoing trials which won't just help amyloidosis patients. Amyloid deposit is found in Alzheimer's too - a breakthrough would mean so much to so many people and it is so close!

My grandfather used to do London to Brighton in under 2 hours - can I beat that? No I can't. But I will promise to ride faster, sweat more and sob more tears of pain for every £1 I raise!
