Khalsa Aid (KA) is primarily a international humanitarian relief agency, based on the teachings of the Sikh Gurus who preached well being of all humanity. Since the launch of KA in 1999 we have provided aid in many different disasters. Most recently Khalsa Aid has launched projects in Punjab.

Story

The teams aim is to raise £20,000 for an end to end project to provide a clean water supply for a community in Kenya. The people of a small village in the district of Kajiado south of Nairobi, Kenya have to collect water from 10 KM away. There are over 1,000 people and over 2,000 livestock in this village. Last year Khalsa Aid delivered over 100 Tons of aid to this drought affected region and decided to look at a more long term sustainable project.

This is a very costly project hence why many organisations do not get involved, but the with your help the people of this village will have guaranteed water for themselves and their livestock. This will ease many of the difficulties for the people who are in the high-risk drought zone. The total cost for this project is estimated to be around £15K to £20K however, the final total depends on the depth of good water.

I hope to raise over £1,000 towards the project.  I hope you can help by supporting this great project and making a generous donation.

Thank you for taking time to read my challenge and aim.
