On 17th September a group of colleagues from Hardy will be competing in a "Dragon Boat" race. This will not only involve 3-4 races in the boat but also include some members having to complete a short run whilst others cycle. There are no plans for any swimming in this event but as we are on the water we cannot completely rule this out!!!
The event will be held at the Docklands sailing club and I am sure if you want to come along and offer your support (or simply come along with the hope of getting £250 from one of those home video programmes) then you will be more than welcome. It is free to watch the event, however if you wish to take part in the after event BBQ there will be a charge.
We are doing this to help the Coins foundation, which seeks to work in genuine partnership to address the needs of the most excluded communities in the world. All money raised will go directly to the charity as the event is being hosted by a software company. Hardy believes in helping those who fall under the radar of the big charities and we feel Coins fit this criteria. Coins will provide us with information on where our money will be spent so we can personally see the difference we make.
