WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.

Story

WaterAid helps the world’s poorest communities to transform their lives with clean water.

1 in 10 people don’t have access to safe water and 1 in 3 don’t have access to a decent toilet.

We want a world where everyone everywhere has these basic human rights by 2030.

Together we can make that happen.

My commitment to WaterAid is driven by my keen interest and passion to work towards HSBC WaterAid Program's objectives of making clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone everywhere by 2030.

The collective target for 100 HSBC employees (individual fundraising target of USD 1000 per person) along with the HSBC fundraising match scheme is USD 500,000. The funds raised from the Arctic Challenge 2018 will provide access to clean water for 26,000 people across Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Ghana and Nigeria.

In addition, on account of the unique opportunity that HSBC WaterAid Program offers, for every dollar that you contribute, I intend to put in a matching contribution from my side at the end of the fund-raising period.
