I'm Harleigh and on the 3rd of March this year I shall be running a very long and gruelling 13 miles. Blisters and all! I'm not crazy and randomly just decided to do this; I will be in fact taking part in the Bath Half Marathon and will be running on the behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Unfortunately nearly everybody knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Year on year the number of people affected by cancer increases. By running for Macmillan Cancer Support, myself and nine others from the University of Gloucestershire’s Women’s Volleyball team will help raise funds, so the charity can provide more resources and services and better care to help those battling cancer. Also another reason for taking part in the Bath Half is, for years I have wanted to do something where I can raise lots of money for charity, as I felt I just wanted to give something back and when this opportunity rose I decided that I would take on the challenge of the Bath Half.

In total me and the girls need to raise £2500. That's £250 each!! So I was hoping you lovely people would sponsor me, as little or as much as you would like, to help me and my team give back by raising money for Macmillan cancer support.

Also when you've had your lovely lie-in on that Sunday, reading the Sunday papers and have your bellies full of a Sunday roast, be happy that you've helped support someone living with cancer by just simply donating.

Meanwhile I’ll be doing the gruelling, aching, tiring, exhausting, hard part resulting in me nursing blisters, walking like a penguin with sore and aching muscles and only wanting a shower and a long lie down...but I’ll be happy knowing to that I’ve helped someone too :).
