"Ain't no Mountain High Enough!"

 Everest Expedition

 Expedition: Thursday, 26 January 2012 - Monday, 13 February 2012

 Hi everyone,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for my Official Scope UK 'Everest Base Camp Expedition' in January 2012. 

I've never done anything like this before and have signed up for this trek fully organised by Scope UK.

I'm giving up nearly 6 months of my time to train up and take on this challenge of a lifetime, simultaneously raising money for Scope UK - (the leading UK disability charity for children and adults coping with celebral palsy)

Trekking through the mighty Himalayas under the shadow of Mount Everest following in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and other famous mountaineers. I will be climbing a height of 5,644m to the very summit of Kala Patthar in Nepal.

It's going to be extremely tough, I'll be climbing steadily upwards for 6-8 hrs a day over 2 weeks continuously for some 125 miles; then coping with dangerous altitude sickness, blisters and biting cold temperatures.
