Hello my lovely lovely people!

So I am trying to raise money to go to Tanzania next summer on expedition -- for a number of reasons...

Firstly, because I really believe that helping other people is one of the most honourable ways to work!

Secondly because I want to challenge myself in an extreme and constantly changing environment

and lastly, but not least! Because, I truly believe this is an incredible cause. 

This is no ordinary expedition, it's a very very special one for Raleigh International!

Raleigh International, with support from and in cooperation with the Tanzanian government, will be working on a diverse range of projects across the whole of the country. We will be working in many of the country's protected areas, such as Tanzania's national parks and conservation concessions to improve environmental sustainability. Our community projects focus on the crucial needs of rural communities, namely access to water, education and adequate sanitation, whilst also implementing initiatives driven by sustainable technology and alternative energy.

 

Tanzania is a very special place, with SO much to offer, despite the fact that it's considered one of the poorest countries on earth! This will be a huge challenge for me and I know from my assessment weekend just how difficult some situations can be, and how other people can become very tired and lack enthusiasm -- so I really want to enlist the help of you all to help me be as pro-active and happy as I can be to help others too!

Please, if you are able to in any way -- help me to get out there and help to build some supportive community and environment structures (ex. a school!)
