Story
In July this year I will be cycling the length of the Eden Valley, from the Cumbrian border with North Yorkshire, all the way to the river's mouth at the Solway Firth to raise funds for TWO charities; I will be fundraising for a charity called the Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust who offer non-invasive healing therapy to patients in NHS settings, such as hospitals and hospices.
And Freedom from Torture work with torture victims in a medical capacity, as well as in helping them find a way to come to terms with the psychological effects of their ordeal. A gift of £48 can pay for an hour of psychotherapy to help address the trauma caused by torture. If you'd like to donate to this charity, please go to the other page linked here. Thanks!
I aim to complete the 90 miles in two days, passing through some of the most beautiful countryside and villages that we have. Along the way I hope to bring awareness through photos to people of how special and peaceful our valley is, to give thanks for living in such a beautiful place!
