My story
Hey everybody,
The time has come for me and Owen to work off that Christmas turkey and mum thought, why not do it for a good cause? Therefore she has convinced us to take up the challenge of the Silverstone Half Marathon for the charity that she works for: AVUK. This will involve us running (much to my horror) not one, not two, but three mighty laps of the racetrack on March 11 2012. While we can't promise to go quite as quickly as Lewis Hamilton, we would love to raise a whole lot of dosh, so invite you to donate so we can reach our target of £500.

Our results - and our children - speak for themselves! Auditory VerbalUK is the UK's only Centre for Auditory Verbal Therapy. Every day in Britain, two children are born with severe and permanent hearing impairment. This disability will leave many of these children isolated and failing to achieve their educational and social potential. Advances in hearing aid and cochlear implant technology, combined with AVT, enable children to learn how to listen, to understand what they are hearing and to speak for themselves.
