Story

My story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

In October, I shall be doing the unthinkable (for me!) and treking a total of 100km in 4 days over the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. All of this is not for fun, it is to raise funds and awareness for a fantastic charity, RifCom.

The Rif Community Foundation (RifCom) is a non-profit charitable organisation run by volunteers from Gibraltar and Spain. It is dedicated to making a real difference to our neighbouring communities in Morocco, living within our sight and yet living in poverty.

This will be done by:

è - Developing Rif community projects which attend to education, health and hygiene.

The average cost to educate and board a girl totals £1015 per year, think how much  more we could achieve by working together to fund another child’s education. Our aim is to provide basic sanitation ammenities which will reduce the risk of spreading disease and improve overall quality of life.

è - Creating a source of income in the Rif region that is sustained by the local community such as the introduction of rural tourism ventures. Along with forming a model for future sustainable development communities.

Please donate all you can, every penny counts!
