Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For some bizarre reason - having never taken any exercise in my life before - I have decided to embark on some missions to raise valuable and much needed funds for the Great North Air Ambulance: these are the guys who saved my life after I was shot twice last June in West Cumbria.
I completed a climb of the 4 peaks over 3,000ft in The Lake District in 2 days, at the end of September, followed by The Great Cumbrian Run a week later - a half marathon over a fairly hilly course - which I ran in 2hrs 7mins (which was 7 mins over target time) plus on 20th November I have another 20kms run, again in Cumbria, which marks the second anniversary of the death of Bill Barker the policeman who lost his life in the dreadful floods. I must be barking! Hey-ho, I'm going to do it and raise lots of cash for the helicopter crew, as they receive nothing, zip, zero, nowt from the government, or the Lottery: just you and me and our generosity.
So far I have been truly humbled by family and friends' generosity: we just need the final push to make the £5,000 - the minimum cost to get the Air Ambulance airborne to save another life.
...so I would be most grateful if you could donate to this v worthwhile cause. Thank you.
