Five Peaks by Bike & Hike · 7 June 2015

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

On the 10th June 2015, I am going to join the M&S Peak Bikers Team in their quest to do a challenge not done before! There are 17 colleagues who are going to climb the 5 highest peaks in Scotland, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales and cycle the 1,000 miles between each peak, in just 7 days, and i will join them for Scotland, England & Wales. This will involve 600miles of biking and 3 peaks in 4 days.

To put this into perspective – during the 2015 Tour de France, athletes will cycle 2,077 miles in 21 days, which is 99 miles per day. I will cycle 150 miles per day PLUS climb 12,000 feet (which is a third of Everest!)

This challenge will see us fundraising for 2 incredible charities, Prostate Cancer UK and The Marie Keating Foundation (Ireland). Both Charities are at the forefront in the fight against cancer and we are extremely proud to support them both on this challenge.

No matter how much or how little, your support is greatly appreciated in the fight against cancer.
