Story
We have once again decided to undertake a long distance cycle challenge for Charity; our first since the ride to Stonehenge. As with the Stonehenge ride, this year’s cycle will visit historical sites (there’s a theme emerging!)
This year’s challenge is………
SWR’s Roman Verulamium to Roman Bath Challenge
The ride will consist of 130 miles of cycling over two days, 80 miles on the first and 50 miles on the second; an increase on our previous challenge.
All proceeds from fundraising will once again go to St Francis Hospice in Berkhamsted.
There will be plenty of ways in which you can support other than cycling and more details will be shared in due course.
See what your money could go towards below:
£25 can pay for a whole days supply of oxygen for a patient with breathing difficulties.
£50 could pay for a counseling session for a child experiencing the loss of a loved one.
£150 could keep our Specialist Home Care Nurses on the road for 3 weeks.
£500 could pay for an entire morning shift of nursing in their In Patient Unit.
£1,000 could pay for a syringe driver used to administer medicine to patients.
