Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. We receive no government funding for our daily missions. Your support keeps us flying.

Story

He did it!

Welcome to Harry's £10,000 Challenge - Monday 28th Sept – Friday 2nd October 2009

for Derbyshire Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance

Please help - just donate a pound! Thank you. Harry’s Challenge aims to raise £10,000 for the East Midlands’ two air ambulances.

He travelled to his work in Nottingham in 5 different ways on 5 consecutive days. Starting from his home in Leicestershire, Harry  canoed, cycled, ran, rode a horse (then rode in a horse-drawn carriage) and finally swam in a pool mounted on the back of a lorry! See the video of Harry, via our website,  as broadcast on BBC East Midlands Today.

The air ambulances need roughly £1.5m per year to serve the region. Each flight costs about £10,000. They are not supported by Central Government or lottery so rely on donations: please dig deep and donate now, thank you.

You can choose to donate to either Derbys, Leics & Rutland Air Ambulance or Lincs &Notts Air Ambulance.

Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
Whilst £10,000 is Harry’s aim in total, wouldn’t it be great if we could raise £10,000 for each Air Ambulance?!
