Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This summer we (Daniel, Kit, Vere, Joe, Tim, Tarquin and Harry) will be attempting to trek the north part of the GR20 long distance hiking trail in Corsica in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The GR20 has been crowned the most difficult trek in Europe and I'm enormously excited to visit this beautiful island and trek the hardest part of the 180km world famous hiking trail. Our goal is to complete the North Section of the GR20 in 7 days (It is normally 9!) The island is rugged and the terrain is rough. There will be plenty of scrambling over exposed sections and on certain days we will use steel chains and ladders for support.
Since the early 1980s, Cancer Research UK has taken over 100 drugs into clinical trials and more than 100,000 patients have taken part in these trials. Cancer Research UK's work has led to massive changes in the way that many different cancers are treated, especially breast cancer. This has improved survival rates and saved hundreds of thousands of lives.
No matter how big or small your donation is, it will be appreciated! With your support, Cancer Research UK can continue their handwork of researching and campaigning to end this disease.
