Story

A Marathon not a Sprint

There was a young girl called Carol,
whose housemate was the size of a barrel,
she said "lets go train",
Steph thought what a pain,
but squeezed on her running apparel.

There's a marathon to run Carol said
it's tough and might make you feel dead
it was raining outside
and Steph couldn't decide
whether to run or head straight back to bed.

Whilst Carol had played tennis all year
Steph had been necking the beer
through training she moaned
but soon became toned
and thought 26 miles - "no fear!"

Now the tortoise is much more streamlined
and the young hare has sadly resigned
herself to the fact
she might not be backed
to leave "Fatty Feathers" behind.
