Story
After running a successful 2018 Great Birmingham Run, I have now decided to run the 2020 Greater Manchester Marathon. This will surely be a great experience as I will be running along 25,000 runners, as I will be surrounded by the different landmarks of Manchester and enjoying the atmosphere of the people that will come out to cheer.
Whilst training, I will be raising money for Penny Appeal, the money will be used in aid of 'Emergency Response', to help protect and save thousands of families from the devastating effects of natural disasters and conflict.
The need for Disaster Relief, with wars waging, conflicts ongoing and the number of natural disasters increasing every year due to climate change is never ending.
People in poorer countries are at least five times more likely to be displaced by extreme weather than people in rich countries.
All of these issues are the most devastating to the people who have the least resources to cope with them – the world’s poorest, most marginalised people.
These people are suffering through no fault of their own.
We have to help!!
