My story
Hi!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 27th May I will be running the Sheffield half marathon for Keep The Beat - a charity that provides hope and support for families affected by congenital heart defects. I chose this charity as it has a particular focus on Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome - a rare congenital heart defect in which the left ventricle of the heart is severely underdeveloped requiring extended stays in hospital including 3 major operations over the course of a person's life time.
As some of you know my nephew was diagnosed with HLHS when he was 5 days old so I have been able to see first hand exactly how a charity such as this can make a difference to people's lives.

KEEPTHEBEAT is a charity established to provide hope and support to the families affected by congenital heart defects. The Charity will have a particular interest in Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, but over time we hope to develop and cover all CHD's.
