British 10K London Run 2009 · 12 July 2009 ·

We want all children to thrive in their families and have loving relationships. We work to build an effective child welfare system to make that a reality. We advise parents and kinship carers, run projects like Lifelong Links for young people in care and we campaign for better support for families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.Having recently run a non-sponsored ten-mile race for pure vanity, I was surprised by the number of people who asked me which charity I was running for.  Not wanting to deprive them of the right to be relieved of their money, in the name of a good cause, I have agreed to take part in the race on the 12th July, in support of Family Rights Group.

The monies raised will enable Family Rights Group to campaign for legislative and practice changes that would enable:

- more  vulnerable children, who would otherwise be in care, to be raised safely and securely by grandparents and other relatives and

- these children and carers to receive the practical and financial support they need, including help with managing contact.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
