Llanberis MRT is one of the busiest in the UK with an annual callout rate of over 220 incidents. Based in and around the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) area the team is made up of about 50 volunteers who are all experienced mountaineers. As a registered charity we rely entirely on your donations.

Story

<p><span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; color: black; font-size: 12.5pt;">James and I are running for The Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team, who searched for my friend Stu when he fell whilst walking in Snowdon.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; color: black; font-size: 12.5pt;">Those who knew Stu knew him as a fun-loving, honest guy who enjoyed life to the max. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>Everything he wanted to do, he did, everything he did he put his heart and soul into and he always had a huge smile on his face.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; color: black; font-size: 12.5pt;">He was a true friend, with whom I have so many wonderful memories - like the time we made up a song to the tune of The Wombles on our Duke of Edinburgh Award, when we baked the world&rsquo;s heaviest chocolate cake, at Leeds Festival when he bought Bhutan&rsquo;s flag so we could spot him in the crowd ("Onward Bhutan!"), choreographing a dance because we were nearly 18 and skinning a rabbit with the worlds bluntest knife.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; color: black; font-size: 12.5pt;">He taught me to take each day as a new opportunity, to never say no to meeting up with friends and to always pursue your dreams.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>He also taught me "the honest only known cure for hiccups," what a Geordie mouse sounds like &hellip;and the Latin word for badger...</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; color: black; font-size: 12.5pt;">I'm sure you all have your own special memories of Stu, so please donate generously in his memory and support The LLanberis Mountain Rescue Team in their search and rescue of loved-ones in the future.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; color: black; font-size: 12.5pt;"></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Arial&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;sans-serif&amp;quot;; color: black; font-size: 12.5pt;">Keep smiling down on us, Stu.</span></p>
