Shaving my head for charity · 23 October 2015

At Target Ovarian Cancer, we target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives. Stand together. Save lives.

Story

Unfortunately like so many others I have witnessed members of my family and friends battle cancer and have lost loved ones...For one individual the battle still continues, and this battle is with Ovarian cancer! This is not a cancer that it plastered all over social media or the tv with fundraising events. Everyone knows about breast cancer - signs, symptoms, treatments, fundraising events, ribbon colour...But what about all the other cancers that some times go undiagnosed for a long period of time because the public aren't aware of the symptoms!

Ovarian cancer is just one of many that needs more awareness and this is the reason for my selected charity: Target Ovarian Cancer.

For so many women who are diagnosed with cancer one of the many anxieties and questions is: will I loose my hair?

Leah and I have decided to shave off our hair to raise money for two excellent cancer charities. We want to prove that you are not defined by your hair and that women battling cancer are just as beautiful with or without their hair.

Thank you so much for visiting my page and any donation will be gratefully received no matter how big or small.
