My story
Hello J
Yes its that time of year again...
This year our story has taken a slightly different twist. I fell into the huge pot off statistics this year when I found a lump, something every woman and man dreads. I followed the normal route of doctors appointments and then a referral to the amazing amazing Northampton hospital wing where I went for further tests...
I have to say I can now generally see where the money goes that you all help us raise. The building is amazing and certainly doesn’t feel like a hospital, its got a little coffee shop while you wait and the consultation rooms are more like rooms from a private hospital. The staff were amazing, friendly and reassuring. Other than being on a conveyor belt of women in the same boat that day, which made me realise the high number of women who must go through this wing every day, my experience and results were I’m glad to say a positive one and I thankfully didn’t need any additional treatment.... some women Im sure that day weren’t so lucky.
That said the women I spoke with that day all were all complementary about the their various experiences, some of which were returning after being treated previously, however all remained very positive and I’m sure that was so much to do with the fantastic work helped along by the Crazy Hats Appeal...

Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Appeal
Charity Registration No. 1111286
We are a local breast cancer charity based in Northamptonshire, raising funds specifically to support our breast care services at Kettering and Northampton General Hospitals. In just over 6 years we have been able to provide almost £1/2 million but our work must go on - with what is a serious subject we have much vision and we have a lot of fun. Please support this local initiative.
