Cardiff Half Marathon 2009 · 18 October 2009 ·

Barts and The London Children's Hospital cares for over 45,000 children each year. We are the general hospital for east London and the City as well as a regional and national centre of excellence for a number of paediatric medical conditions and specialist treatments. Every year, The Children's Fund raises money for medical equipment, building projects, patient and family amenities and research. Donations help us enhance the work of children's hospital and to offer excellent care to our young patients, whether newborn or teenagers. The Children's Fund is a special fund held by Barts and The London Charitable Foundation.

Story

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Jim and I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon on 18th October 2009. We have chosen to raise money for the Constance Green Ward at the Royal London Hospital (via the Children's Fund for Barts and the London Children's Hospital). The ward provides Intensive Care for babies and this is where Baby Lacey spent much of her time. After hearing about the excellent care that Lacey received and the fantastic support that the staff provided to her Mum and Dad during the time they spent there, I believe the ward deserves our support in return.

We would be so grateful if you would join us in our efforts to raise money for this great cause in the memory of a very special little girl.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks,

Hayley and Jimmy xx
