My Dad contracted ‘Guillain Barre Syndrome’ 4 years ago.  

This was an extremely difficult time for us and even more so that the illness is still not fully understood.  For this reason I would like to help towards the research into the illness in a bid to hopefully lesson the impact of the not knowing for future patients and families. 

In 2010 a close friend contracted the same illness and with very little knowledge as to exactly what it was.  Only through my experience was it possible to generate awareness and comfort that there was light at the end of the tunnel.
