Story

I have committed to donate £10,000 to Elizabeth House part of Arch a Staffordshire based charity. There are several events being organised, if you could attend or sponsor any of the events or donate through this page it would be a great help.

The next Event: Potters 'Arf Marathon on 13.06.10

Anybody who is local knows how bad it is for hills, so please donate generously and sponsor me as I am not the fittest, I've put a lot of effort in training, along with Paul Redfern running with me.

Previous Events

Battle of the Sexes 9th April 2010 - (£1,021.47 Raised) Thanks to everybody who helped and came along.

Elizabeth House Information

Arch expanded in 2000 after they were approached regarding the acquisition of the Elizabeth Trust, a well-established organisation based in Newcastle-under-Lyme providing accommodation and support to women and their children escaping domestic violence. The Elizabeth Trust was founded in 1975 and was one of only two services of its kind operating in North Staffordshire. The Arch Floating Support Service was already engaged in work with families and the addition of the Elizabeth Trust provided an opportunity to broaden their range of service provision for this group.

Arch continues to operate the two women’s refuges set up by the Trust in 1976 (Elizabeth House and Tolkien House), and the project remains well known for its pioneering work with victims of domestic violence. Arch also took on the Domestic Violence Helpline, which the Elizabeth Trust began in 1999.
