Story

HI!

I am organising a Walk in The Dark to help raise money for http://www.justgiving.com/cancerdogs.

It will take place on Saturday 15th October 2011. Anyone is welcome to bring their well behaved dog along and join us for a walk starting from the car park in Great Shelford Recreation Ground at 7.30pm. We will walk from there toward Tunwell's Lane and up to Lloyds Bank and then head down the High Street to Little Shelford. Once over the bridges we will continue past the Church and carry on around "The Triangle" and then back to our starting point.

This is not a long walk and will keep to the footpaths so young children and buggies are well accommodated. Please make sure you, your children and your dog are wearing something bright which can be well seen in the dark and that dogs are on a lead at all times.

For full details of other walks going on in our area and around the UK please take a look at the link below.

We will also be collecting on the evening so please don't feel you have to donate right away, but it would be lovely if you could! Hope to see you there!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

Medical Detection Dogs trains dogs to detect the odour of disease. Our research includes cancer, Parkinson's and other diseases and could save millions of lives by improving diagnostics. We already help people manage complex, life-threatening medical conditions by training Medical Alert Dogs.
