Story
I'm taking part in the University of Glasgow 2013 World Challenges At Home.
The Challenge is to walk 150 miles which is the length of The Great Ocean Road in Australia. (I won't actually be going to Oz but will be walking in and around Glasgow. My route is more likely to include The Great Western Road, which I suppose is close enough :0) !
I pledge to walk 12.5 miles per week for 12 weeks (1st March - 24th May) which will be quite a challenge for a dedicated couch potato like myself. I'm hoping to raise some money for a worthy cause and get a little fitter in the process.
I'm raising money to help fund the University's vital research into Heart Disease and Stroke which ultimately aims to help the 2.6 million people in the UK who live daily with the ravaging effects of heart and circulatory disease.
I'm hoping to raise a minimum of £100, so please can I ask you to sponsor me by making a donation of your choice to the Glasgow University Trust?
Your donation, however big or small, will make a difference and help to spur me on when my legs and tootsies start to ache!
