My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!!!!

This is a mammoth task that we are taking on. No hair straighteners, central heating or showers!!!!

On 31st March 2012 we will be travelling to Tromso where we will be starting our challenge. There will just be ice & snow, everywhere for as far as you can see, then Becky & myself trying to pitch a tent and cook our freeze dried packet food!

We will be fending for ourselves whilst trying to travel, husky style across vast expanses of snow. 

I have to say I'm more than a little worried about how we are going to survive. We will be pushing our own sledges at times- we have been told we need to work on our upper body strength.

We will spend six days sledding through the rolling highlands and deep forests of Lapland. Our charity challenge for Against Breast Cancer is to sled 250km from Norway, into Sweden through untouched nature.

This is no ordinary charity challenge – we will be required to erect our own tents, cook for ourselves and fulfil all camping duties with the equipment provided. In addition to looking after ourselves, we’ll also be responsible for looking after our teams of huskies – be assured, this is a true, “hands on” wilderness challenge!
