Story

Hello everyone!

I'm running the Bath Half for Macmillan Cancer Support.

I seem to have had many dealings with this charity over the years from the death of my grandad and my loved step-dad in 2007, to my dad who is now facing terminal cancer.

I'm mainly running because it's the biggest challenge I can imagine for myself, being an avid sport hater and detesting anything that requires getting up from the sofa. I will probably have a rubbish time at the end of it all, but I really wanted to do something that I am going to find so difficult, because it does not equate to the difficulty in facing your own mortality. My dad has shown amazing courage, dealing with a lot of the difficulties of having terminal cancer by himself. It's been really hard personally to deal with everything, and I hope that all my friends will support me in doing something positive towards this. If not for that, for all the other people and families out there that are dealing with this horrible disease.

Love to you all and thank you for any support you can give, I cannot describe how grateful I am for it! xxx
