For our 70th birthday’s my husband and I bought a treadmill, we could have gone on a cruise or taken a train ride across America but no we bought a treadmill!!! I have wanted to do something to raise money for the MS Society ever since my eldest daughter was diagnosed over 10 years ago, so any donations will I know be gratefully received. A cure is very unlikely to help my daughter now but if in the future one can be found and it will help just one mother not to have to go through feeling helpless and unable to stop the progress of the disease that I have felt, then my 10K Fun Run will have had a purpose. I have supported my husband as he ran marathons and the children through runs and one doing a zip wire challenge, and so it is my turn now, I would like to raise at least £100 so any contributions will be welcome. Just remember I haven’t run a race since I was in Junior School and that was only once up the playground and I think I came 5th out of 6, so I am not going to give a time although as of today (12.02) I have been able to do 5.5K in 48 mins so if I work hard I might be able to do it in under 1 hour 30 mins!!!
