<p><span style="color: #000000;">Thanks for taking the time to visit&nbsp;our JustGiving page.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Gloucestershire Young Carers is a charity that was established in 1993 to give young carers in the county a voice and a network of support.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Young carers are children and young people who have a caring responsibility for a family member with a disability, physical or mental ill health or who is affected by substance misuse.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">At present Gloucestershire Young Carers is able to offer support to young carers from 8 to 25 years of age, but has had referrals for children as young as 5.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Many young carers are isolated - unable to enjoy opportunities to take a break from their caring role and many have no one to talk to about their experiences.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Many are overlooked by the agencies that enter their home to help their family member.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">The aim is to create a network of support for young carers across the county and to work with young cares to ensure that service providers understand their needs and respond appropriately. </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
